Itinerary
Day 1 - Delhi- Rishikesh (Approx. 250 km / 6 hrs)
Upon your arrival in Delhi, meet our tour representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to Rishikesh. This holy town of Uttarakhand lies at the foothills of lower Himalayas along the holy River Ganga. It is popular as an adventure hub as well as the gateway to the holy Chardham destinations- Kedarnath, Gangotri, Badrinath and Yamunotri. Pilgrims in huge numbers visit every year for the temples and ashrams. While adventure lovers love to indulge in river rafting, camping, trekking and more. The International Yoga Festivals gathers visitors from all around the globe. On arrival, complete the check-in formalities. In the evening leave for sightseeing. Walk over the Laxman Jhula, a 450 feet hanging iron Bridge over the mighty Ganges which offers beautiful views. Next, pay a visit to Bharat Mandir. The ancient temple established by Adiguru Shankaracharya. After this continue towards the Triveni Ghat, believed to be the confluence of Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Among the most sacred bathing spots in Rishikesh for seeking salvation as well as the spectacular aarti in the evening. Later, proceed to Trayambakeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva which is the last site of the day. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 - Rishikesh – Lansdowne (Approx. 130 Kms/ 04 Hrs)
Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel. Later, check out of the hotel and start your road journey to Lansdowne. The beautiful cantonment town was settled during the British Raj. Nestled at an altitude of 1706 m the hill town is surrounded by dense oak and pine jungles, lush environs and panoramic views lure visitors. On your arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later, proceed for sightseeing. Start with a visit to the War Museum or the Darwan Singh Sangrahalaya handled by the Indian Army. Next, head to the 'Tip N Top' hill point. Move on to other tourist attractions including the Anglican, St. Mary's Church. Pay a visit to Tiffin Top and Snow View, beautiful viewpoints where you can savor wonderful views of Chaukhamba and Trishul Mountain Ranges. Last but not the least pay a visit to the Tarkeshwar Mahadev at a height of 2092 m, dedicated to Lord Shiva. After a fun-filled day of sightseeing, return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 - Lansdowne - Jim Corbett National Park (Approx. 165 km / 5 hrs)
Start the day with breakfast at hotel. Later, proceed for road journey to the very popular Jim Corbett National Park. One of the first its kind, the wildlife sanctuary is home to a healthy population of Royal Bengal tigers. Other animals found here are elephants, sambar, sloth bear, various species of deer, langurs, etc. It is also known for welcoming as many as 586 species of migratory birds. On reaching, complete check-in at a jungle resort. Freshen up and relax, the day is at your own leisure. You can chose to explore the nearby area on your own. Pay a visit to the Garjiya Devi temple or opt for an evening Jungle safari. Overnight stay.
Day 4 - Corbett – Kausani (Approx. 240 km / 6 hrs)
Wake up to the calls of the wild. Have breakfast at resort and start with drive to Kausani. One of the most beautiful places in Uttarakhand, the hill station is blessed by green surroundings and wonderful scenery. Known as the 'Switzerland of India'. Kausani is an unspoiled place that is loved by nature lovers and peace seekers. Upon arriving, complete the check-in at the hotel. Take rest for some time. Afterwards, get ready for sightseeing in Kausani. Start with a visit to Kausani Tea Estate where you can look and even buy the tea varieties grown here. Next, pay a visit to Sumitranandan Pant Gallery dedicated to the popular literary figures of modern Hindi literature. Move on to Anasakti Ashram, also known as Gandhi Ashram, 70-year old Lakshmi Ashram, Rudradhari Falls and Caves. After sightseeing, get back to the hotel for a savory dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - Kausani – Binsar (Approx. 80 km / 3 hrs)
Today you will proceed to Binsar on road. Upon arrival, complete the check-in formalities at the resort. The highlight of this delightful Uttarakhand tour is the Binsar wildlife sanctuary. Snuggled amid the variety of grasses, bushes and trees, it is the habitat of animals, birds and ancient trees. Return to the resort for lunch. Later, choose to either relax in the room or explore the place on-foot, on your own. Stay overnight in Binsar.
Day 6 - Binsar - Nainital (Approx. 90 km / 3 hrs)
After you are done with breakfast, start driving to Nainital. Known as the charming 'city of lakes' the hill station is positioned in the Himalayan belt of the Kumaon hills. The beauty of the hill town is the reason why it is one of the most popular holiday destinations. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Proceed for sightseeing, starting from Naina Devi Temple on the northern banks of Naini Lake. Next, pay a visit to the church of St. John in the Wilderness. After enjoying the sights, return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7 - Nainital
Today leave for a full day sightseeing in Nainital. First visit the tear-shaped Naini Lake, the most beautiful sights in the city. Next, explore the Governor's House, also known Raj Bhavan, a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture built in 1899. Next, pay a visit to the Snow View where you can reach by a scenic cable car ride. Next, head towards The Mall Road on the lake banks, which is also known as Govind Ballabh Pant Marg where markets and cafes offer exciting treasures. Here you can spend a memorable evening. Night stay at the hotel.
Day 8 - Nainital- Departure for Delhi (Approx. 290 km / 7 hrs)
The Delightful Uttarakhand tour ends today. After, breakfast, check out of the hotel and get assisted transfer to Delhi Airport for boarding flight for your onward journey.
