Itinerary
Day 1 - Srinagar - Arrival
Arrive at srinagar airport / station a major city in the valley with lakes, which is also home to the Mughal gardens, a major attraction. Spend the day at the houseboat or go for a Shikara ride at Nehru Park, during evening. Your overnight stay is at the hotel or houseboat.
Day 2 - Srinagar Sightseeing
Post Breakfast you will proceed to explore Srinagar which is called heaven on the earth. Embellished with oodles of natural marvels, Kashmir is a land of beauty and elegance. Mughal Garden- Built in the Mughal era, donning its majestic architecture, are the Mughal gardens. The garden is a combination of the Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Gardens & Chashm-e-Shahi. The Nishant Bagh fondly known as the Garden of Joy. Its beauty is enhanced by the well-manicured landscapes, long avenues of Chinar & cypress trees, rare flowering plants, 12 terraces & several bubbling fountains that's cover the whole expanse of the garden. Shalimar Bagh is one of a beautifully laid garden by Mughal emperor Jahangir. Exhibiting the exemplary craftsmanship of Mughals in horticulture, the place is quite popular with tourists from all over the world. Shankaracharya Temple : Visit this effulgent, age old temple in Srinagar to feel closer to the gods. Situated at a height of about 1100 feet on the south-east of the city, this sacred temple offers splendid views of the valley and the snow clad mountains of the Pir Panjal range. Come back to Hotel/Houseboat for an overnight Stay.
Day 3 - Srinagar- Gulmarg ( Approx 55 Kms/2 Hrs Drive )
Post Breakfast check out from Hotel/Houseboat and drive to Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer destination in the valley. On arrival one can have Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg at additional cost. Enjoy the natural beauty of Gulmarg. Overnight Stay at Gulmarg.
Day 4 - Gulmarg - Pahalgam
The journey to Pahalgam takes around 5 hours covering 140 km. Pahalgam for its vegetation is known as the "valley of shepherds". The route has a stopover at Avantipura Ruins and Anantnag Sulphur Springs. Overnight stay.
Day 5 - Pahalgam
On day 5 with proceeding towards Chandanwadi. This snow point in the Kashmir valley is 14 km from Pahalgam and pony ride is what you would enjoy here. It is a great experience of exploring the countryside, taking a walk and relaxing on the banks of River Lidder are some of the activities that tourists can indulge in.
Day 6 - Pahalgam - Srinagar
You journey back from Pahalgam to Srinagar and the day is spent in shopping and roaming free in the city. The floating markets on the Shikara are also important places for shopping in Srinagar.
Day 7 - Srinagar - Departure
Relish your breakfast and get transferred to the airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
